Well, what a November this has started out to be...gas in Lincoln, Illinois was $1.92 last night...

...and Barack Obama became the 1st black president of the United States. I know there are many in my town and in my family that did not vote for him; however, I need to remember this - God is always in control. If God did not want him to win, he wouldn't have won. We tried out Republican for 8 years...and look at where we are. So, let's try this - and see where it takes us. No one can predict that. No one could've predicted Bush would've been faced with 9/11 within his 1st year of presidency. Let's give President-elect Obama a chance...I can honestly say I would've given that same courtesy and respect to McCain. It was his choice for VP that sealed my vote, not him. I must say, this post is my opinion only - not my husband's. We are one of those many split households. We have agreed to disagree - and politics are not discussed. What is great, is that our love is stronger than politics and baseball and college basketball.
FYI...I'm a Cub fan, he's a Cardinal fan. I'm a Duke fan, he's an Illini fan.
